After finally settling her divorce In October of 2023, Ariana Grande is moving on with new boyfriend Ethan Slater.
Grande and Slater were spotted, just a few days before Christmas, on a rare outing in New York City with her father, Ed Butera, and a girlfriend.
A close source to Grande said, ““They had dinner with her dad and family at her family’s favorite Italian restaurant.”
“They also went as a group to see Ethan in his new broadway ‘Spamalot’,” the source added. “They love to support each other in their work. When she’s done with work, she loves going to the theater when she can.”
Grande has recently been focused on making new music, and has been visiting the studio quite often, keeping her busy.
The entire group appeared to be in excellent spirits as they stepped out of their black luxury SUV and headed to dinner.
Grande, 30, dressed up in an all-black ensemble consisting of a miniskirt, semi-sheer tights, a button-down sweater with fur-lined sleeves and a matching bucket hat.
She added a pop of color with red lipstick and appeared to sport more of a honey-colored hairstyle rather than the platinum blond she’s been rocking to film “Wicked,” which is how she met Slater.
Slater matched his girlfriend in a fully black outfit but dressed more casually in Nike athletic pants and a North Face zip-up.
Despite Grande and Slater keeping their relationship pretty private, they confirmed they were officially an item in July. Grande was then spotted attending Slater’s broadway musical show ‘Spamalot’ and was surrounded by excited fans.
Grande and Slater were also seen getting rather cozy and showing off some PDA during a dinner date in New York City in late October. This rare sighting of the two happened just weeks after it was reported that the two had moved in with each other.
“They’re really happy and really good for each other,” a person close to the artists said at the time. “All of her friends love him.”
This new relationship blossomed after Ariana split from her ex-husband Dalton Gomez. The two decided to divorce after struggling to make their relationship work after the Covid pandemic, due to their different lifestyles.
Meanwhile, Slater had also recently divorced his high school sweetheart, Lilly Jay, in July. According to a close source, Lilly had been completely blindsided by Ethan’s decision to divorce.
Two months before their split, Slater had gushed about how wonderful a mother Lilly was to their 1-year old son, giving off a happily married vibe.
An insider claimed in July that Grande was giving the estranged couple space to work things out, but Ethan ended up wanting to further things with Ariana.
