When it comes to parenting, Drew Barrymore’s past comes back to haunt her.
The actress and talk show host said, “My daughter brings up my “Playboy” cover shoot in 1995 whenever she wants to argue about clothes being appropriate for her to wear.”
“My daughter wants to wear a crop top,” she told her guest, Christina Aguilera. “I’ll say, ‘No,’ and she’ll go, ‘You were on the cover of Playboy.’”
Barrymore kept it a secret when it came to identifying which of her two daughter she shares with ex-husband Will Kopelman was giving her attitude, but it would have to be either Olive, 11 or Frankie, 9.
“I love that she said that though,” Aguilera, 43, responded. “I knew I would have this issue with my own daughter at some point after wearing chaps and other more revealing clothing choices in my past.”
“Cause my daughter wants to wear a crop top, too, and I’m just like, ‘Can we just pull it down?’ I see myself doing that,” Aguilera laughed.
Aguilera has a 9-year old daughter named Summer, who she shares with her fiancé Matthew Rutler, and Max, 16, with her ex-husband Jordan Bartman.
Both celebrity moms confirmed that they carry no regrets about their risqué moments.
“We were expressing ourselves and how we felt was best for us I think, at the time,” Aguilera noted.
“I loved every minute of it,” Barrymore enthusiastically responded.
“It’s empowering being a female and embracing your body and everything that makes you feel good or womanly,” Aguilera went on. “However that is for yourself to be able to embrace that.”
Barrymore went on to explain her decision behind posing for ‘Playboy’ magazine, “I felt like when I was doing ‘Playboy’ I was taking my power back.”
“When I was doing ‘Playboy’ and loving it and having so much fun and I don’t regret a thing and love it, I didn’t know I’d have kids later,” she later noted.
