Nothing, but the best of birthday wishes for little Prince George!
The oldest son of Prince William and Kate Middleton’s three children, turned 9. He flashed a very joyful smile in his birthday photo that was taken by the Duchess of Cambridge herself and shared on social media.
The proud parents captioned the photo, “George is turning 9! 🎂🎈.”
George sported a powder blue collared shirt and side-swept hair, bared a striking resemblance to his father while posing on the beach.
William and Kate have made it a tradition to post a new portrait of their three children, George, Princess Charlotte, 7, and Prince Louis, 4, every year on their birthday.
The Duchess, 40, often takes the photos herself, staging her three kids in places with special meaning to the royal family.
Last year, George was photographed sitting atop a Land Rover Defender in a striped collard shirt, a nod to Prince Philip, the late Duke of Edinburgh, who was closely associated with the vehicle.
Prince George brought that same playful smile with him to Wimbledon earlier this month where all eyes were on him due to his silly expressions.
George was seen in matching attire, a navy suit, with his parents at his first ever tennis tournament.
However, little George didn’t keep his composure for long. Fans could see George caught picking his nose before scrunching up his face and squinting as Novak Djokovic took on Nick Kyrgios in the match.
Prince William, 40, was the same age as his eldest son the first time he attended his first Wimbledon match with Princess Diana in 1991. It appears all of the royal couple’s children take after their father.
