After JoJo Siwa called Candace Cameron Bure out for being the ‘rudest’ celeb she has ever met, Bure has turned to her faith to deal with the hate thrown her way.
The very devout Christian, posted on her Instagram Stories a quote that read, “Trust The Lord always” and the Bible verse Isaiah 26:4.
The full verse from the Bible when looked up reads, “Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord God is an everlasting rock.”
No one knows if the verse was directed at Siwa, but many claim it was since it was posted shortly after the altercation took place.
On Sunday, Siwa, 19, went viral after she posted a TikTok that labeled Bure the “rudest” celebrity she’s ever met. Siwa did not detail what occurred during her alleged unpleasant experience with the mother of three, but it’s possible the two crossed paths on the set of “Dancing With the Stars” at some point.
Siwa and Bure were both competitors on the dance competition show, although in different seasons, with Siwa coming in second place on Season 30 and Bure finishing in third place on Season 18.
Siwa and Bure also appeared on ‘The Kelly Clarkson Show’ at the same time in 2019.
In a clip posted online, the actress actually gifts the YouTuber a present in an effort to bring “Christmas cheer,” so it is unclear if a separate interaction occurred backstage.
“I heard that you like a lot of sweet things, so these are all cookie cutters and a little recipe card so you can have somebody make them for you on tour,” Bure tells Siwa.
After Siwa posted her recent diss post, many fans were torn over the dig at Bure. Some said it had to be a lie, while others fought that Siwa only tells the truth.
Some believe that Bure’s faith may have played a role in her alleged behavior toward Siwa, who came out as gay in January 2021. “JoJo Siwa is queer, Candace Cameron Bure is deeply conservative. Not hard to believe,” one person tweeted.
Another called Siwa’s bluff, tweeting, “I can’t stand JoJo. Sure, you danced for Abby Miller and defended her even tho she was downright abusive to everyone, but Candace Cameron who has been called many things but never rude, was the rudest celebrity you ever met. Sure……”
