Her little boys aren’t so little anymore.
Triggered by her puppy growing up, Britney Spears wrote on Instagram Sunday that she has “cried oceans” over her teenage sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James, no longer “needing” her.
“My baby is getting bigger … I will just say it’s just like when my boys got bigger … IT LITERALLY SUCKS. They don’t need me anymore … I’ve cried oceans for my boys and I’m not lying !!!!” she wrote alongside a series of photos of herself and one photo of her dog Sawyer.
The “Toxic” singer, 40, noted that she hoped to be able to show “recent pics” of her and her sons but until then will “respect their wishes.”
“Oh well … but Sawyer … yes, he’s bigger but he will always need me and I like that!!!!” she ended her caption.
Spears’ ex-husband Kevin Federline shared a rare photo of their sons in October 2021, giving fans a look at just how much they’ve grown up.
Preston, 16, and Jayden, 15, have stayed out of the spotlight despite their parents’ fame and seldom make appearances online.
But in September, the “Boys” singer posted a photo of her kids and gave fans some insight into their lives.
“My boys’ birthdays were last week,” she shared at the time, “and unfortunately they are growing up and want to do their own things….I have to ask their permission to post them because they are extremely independent little men.”
Spears admitted that she could not believe just how much her boys have become young men.
“It makes me crazy because they are so tall and geez they are still growing. They went to a dance last week and I cried for two days,” she revealed. “My babies in a suit!!! It’s crazy!!! And girls get ready cause my boys are so handsome!!!”
The Grammy winner and Federline, 43, welcomed their sons in 2005 and 2006 before divorcing in 2007. She is now engaged to Sam Asghari, while K-Fed wed Victoria Prince in 2013.
