Michael Bublé’s son Elias almost learned about the birds and the bees.
The “Everything” crooner is expecting his fourth child with wife Luisana Lopilato and shared on “The View” Friday the hilarious way one of his children reacted to the news.
“We told the kids on Christmas Eve. And we told them, ‘Mommy has a baby in her tummy. You’re going to have a little brother or sister,’” Bublé began.
“And my 6-year-old, Eli, was distraught. We said, ‘What’s wrong?’ And he said, ‘Why didn’t you invite us to watch when you fell in love and you made the baby?’”
Laughing, the “Just Haven’t Met You Yet” singer admitted he “still” did not know how to answer his son’s adorably innocent question.
“Because obviously, they have no concept about how physically it happens,” he said. “It’s really cute. It’s just so sweet. They just know that mommies and daddies fall in love and have the baby, so he just wants to be invited.”
The couple are already parents to sons Noah, 8, and Elias, 6, and daughter Vida, 3.
Bublé, 46, said he feels “blessed” to be having another baby with Lopilato, 34, because he “loves every single second” of raising kids despite challenges, including Noah’s cancer battle.
“You know, we’ve been through a lot as a family, and I think it gave me a great deal of perspective, and in that perspective, I realized how lucky I am,” he said.
Noah was diagnosed with cancer at age 3 in November 2016, which left the family “broken in half.”
“We are devastated by the recent diagnosis of cancer of our eldest son Noah who is currently receiving treatment in the United States,” the couple said in a statement at the time. “We’ve always talked about the importance of family and the love we have for our children.”
Noah’s cancer has been in remission since April 2017.
