Two years later Rachel Bilson finally confirms her dating past with Bill Hader.
The actress, 40, was in the middle of interviewing Aubrey Plaza on her “Broad Ideas” podcast Tuesday when she surprised the “Parks and Recreation” alum, by mentioning her past romance with the “Barry” star.
“Are you serious?” Plaza asked, her jaw dropping. “I don’t know s–t. I don’t know anything.”
Bilson replied, “We dated. I went to the f–king Golden Globes with him.”
The former couple sparked relationship rumors in late 2019 and made their red carpet debut at the awards show in January 2020, but they broke uplater that same year.
In last week’s episode of Bilson’s podcast, the “O.C.” alum spoke to Mandy Moore about going through the breakup amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Bilson, who did not name Hader at the time, said that since she “could not leave her house” due to quarantine, she “had nothing else to do but sit in it, deal with it and feel it.”
She noted that the split “hurt like a motherf–ker,” adding, “It was probably the hardest thing I’ve ever done. Harder than childbirth. … If you actually face it, you can come out of it and be like, OK, I did that, and I’m ready for the next thing.”
Hader has since reportedly moved on with “Pitch Perfect” star Anna Kendrick, while Bilson is dating artist Zac LaRoc.
The “Hart of Dixie” alum was previously engaged to “Star Wars” actor Hayden Christensen from 2008 to 2017, and the exes share 7-year-old daughter Briar.
When it comes to co-parenting, Bilson told People in June 2018 that her goal is to keep the little one “secure and stable,” explaining, “No matter what I’m dealing with or how much it hurts or how much anger there is, it’s just about her.”
The Los Angeles native explained to former “Bachelor” Nick Viall in July of the following year that dating as a single mom is difficult.
“Briar has not met anyone I’ve dated as of yet, and it would have to be someone I know I’m going to be with,” she said in the 2019 “Viall Files” podcast episode. “It would have to be a very serious relationship.”
