Emmy Rossum shared a rare picture of her one-year-old daughter to Instagram this week, showing her getting inoculated for COVID-19.
“An exciting day we’ve waited a long time for! Our daughter got her first covid vaccine!” wrote Emmy, who shares her little girl with her husband Sam Esmail.
Her post came just four days after the Centers For Disease Control And Prevention recommended COVID-19 jabs for children as young as six months old.
The CDC also announced last month that children five years and older can receive a booster shot of the coronavirus vaccine.
The picture of her toddler getting vaccinated showed the little girl with a Band-Aid on her arm and her head turned away from the camera so her face was hidden.
She had posted a few snaps of the little girl with Sam this Sunday in honor of Father’s Day, but those photos had a heart over the one-year-old’s face.
However, Emmy did share an Instagram snap of their tyke for the first time in July 2021 and used her caption to urge the public to get vaccinated for COVID-19.
“When I was pregnant I got vaccinated,” she wrote. “Not only did we have a healthy, beautiful baby girl but we also just learned our daughter now has antibodies. In short, stop being an irresponsible idiot and get the vaccine.”
The accompanying picture showed Emmy cradling her infant and kissing her on the head and as in the new picture, the baby’s face was concealed.
