Kate Middleton asked to hold a baby during a Cambridge visit on Thursday and Prince William had the best reaction.
The Duchess of Cambridge, 40, paused while greeting fans at Newmarket Racecourse to gush over a baby girl as her husband, also 40, looked on.
After Middleton told the little one’s mother how much she “loves babies,” William tapped his wife’s arm, signaling that it was time to move along.
“LOL I love William’s reaction,” one Twitter user wrote of the interaction. “Desperate to get away before Catherine gets any ideas about baby No. 4.”
Another added, “Catherine loves babies. It’s making William a little nervous. He’s nervous with three. Another one might tip him over the edge.”
The royals became parents in July 2013 when Prince George, now 8, was born. The pair welcomed Princess Charlotte, now 7, in May 2015 and Prince Louis, now 4, in April 2018.
Since Prince Louis’ birth, Middleton has been vocal about her baby fever.
During a University of Copenhagen visit in February, she revealed how “very broody” she feels around infants.
“William always worries about me meeting under-1-year-olds,” Middleton joked at the time. “I come home saying, let’s have another one.”
The previous month, the Duke of Cambridge told a couple in Lancanshire, England, not to give Middleton any ideas as they handed her their baby for a photo op.
William then turned to his partner and jokingly warned, “Don’t take her with you.”
The couple have their hands full with George, Charlotte and Louis. The mini royals made headlines for their antics earlier this month at Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee festivities, especially Louis.
The little one entertained crowds by screaming during the Trooping the Colour flyover and taunting his mom during the pageant.
Charlotte, for her part, was spotted correcting both of her brothers during the events. She cut Louis’ waving short and later told George to stand up straight.
