“Botched” star Dr. Paul Nassif announced his older brother, Chris Nassif, died “unexpectedly” Wednesday. He was 62.
“Yesterday I lost my big brother, unexpectedly. Words can’t begin to describe the loss that my family, his friends and I are feeling right now,” the famed plastic surgeon, 60, wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of his late brother.
“Chris Nassif was, and always will be, a legend. Nowadays, our world is obsessed with super heroes, but growing up… he was mine.”
Paul described Chris’ successes, which included launching his own talent agency when he was just 22 and going on to represent “some of the biggest stars on the planet, from Sofia Vergara to Luke Perry to Ricky Martin, as a proud memory of his brother.
“When push comes to shove, there is no one on this planet that will have your back like your big brother,” the E! personality continued. “Please keep our family in your prayers during this unimaginably difficult time.”
Paul ended his tribute for his brother by asking his 1.2 million followers to “never take a moment for granted” because “you never know when you could lose someone who means everything to you.
“I only had one brother, and he was the best brother I could’ve hoped for. He helped raise me. I know that I wouldn’t be the man I am today if it wasn’t for him. I love you always my brother.”
The cause of Chris’s death has not been revealed at this time.
In addition to his work in Hollywood, Chris also had interest in law enforcement and served as a reserve deputy for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department as well as being on reserve status with the Inglewood School Police Department.
