They finally did it!!!!!!
After a failed engagement the first time around, the second times the charm, that landed Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck married.
It’s ben confirmed the two star’s marriage is real. A marriage license has been obtained from Clark County, NV filed Saturday, July 16, indicating that Benjamin Géza Affleck and Jennifer Lynn Lopez are indeed married.
Lopez announced her engagement to Affleck in April during a short video clip. “You’re perfect,” Lopez was heard saying in the clip as she stared adoringly at her green engagement ring.
“I always say the color green is my lucky color. Maybe you can remember a certain green dress,” she explained in a previous newsletter, referring to that famous Versace silk chiffon number she wore to the 2000 Grammys.
“I’ve realized there are many moments in my life where amazing things happened when I was wearing green,” she added.
The two first met in 2001 on the set go ‘Gigli’ while Lopez was still married to her second husband Cris Judd. After her 2002 separation from Judd, ‘Bennifer’ was born, when Lopez and Affleck made an appearance in Lopez’s video ‘Jenny from the Block’.
Just a month after the video aired, Affleck publicly proposed to Lopez with a 6.1 carat pink diamond by Harry Winston. However, the couple called off the wedding due to media pressure.
“Due to the excessive media attention surrounding our wedding, we have decided to postpone the date,” the couple said. “When we found ourselves seriously contemplating hiring three separate ‘decoy brides’ at three different locations, we realized that something was awry.”
They continued, “We began to feel that the spirit of what should have been the happiest day of our lives could be compromised. We felt what should have been a joyful and sacred day could be spoiled for us, our families, and our friends.”
In 2004, the couple officially called it quits and split. Lopez then went on to marry singer Marc Anthony later that year, and had twins Emme and Max in 2008.
Meanwhile, Affleck tied the knot with Jennifer Garner in June 2005 and went on to welcome three kids with the actress: Violet, Seraphina, and Sam.
Lopez and Affleck later found themselves divorced once again. This allowed them to reunite once more, in 2021 following Lopez’s split from baseball giant Alex Rodriguez and have been attached at the hip ever since.
