A divorce that seems never ending is constantly swirling around Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.
This ex-couple has been separated for so long and yet Angelina Jolie is still going at it with court case, after court case.
Brad’s lawyer said, “Under-fire Brad Pitt won’t own anything he didn’t do.”
This statement came after Jolie recently claimed even more abuse allegations against Pitt.
Pitt’s attorney, Anne Kiley said, ““Brad has owned everything he’s responsible for from day one, unlike the other side. He’s not going to own anything he didn’t do. He has been on the receiving end of every type of personal attack and misrepresentation.”
Kiley continued, “Thankfully, the various public authorities the other side has tried to use against him over the past six years have made their own independent decisions. Brad will continue to respond in court as he has consistently done.”
Jolie, 47, filed court documents on Tuesday claiming that Pitt didn’t just assault her, but choked one of their children as well aboard a private jet in September 2016.
In a countersuit, Jolie went into detail about what allegedly took place during the now-infamous flight that led her to file for divorce.
She claimed Pitt, 58, choked one of the children, struck another in the face, and grabbed Jolie by the head and shook her. Jolie also alleged that Pitt poured beer on her, as well as beer and wine on their children. Jolie supposedly tried to intervene at one point and grabbed Pitt from behind to try to stop him
Documents allege, to get Jolie off his back, Pitt threw himself backwards into the airplane’s seats, injuring Jolie’s back and elbow. The children rushed in and all bravely tried to protect each other. Before it was over, Pitt choked one of the children and struck another in the face. Some of the children pleaded with Pitt to stop. They were all frightened. Many were crying.
The former couple, who wed in August 2014, share six children: Maddox, 21, Pax, 18, Zahara, 17, Shiloh, 16, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 14. Since their 2016 split, they have been waging a bitter custody fight over their minor children.
Pitt was put under investigation for child abuse by the FBI over the in-flight incident.
However, authorities did not pursue criminal charges against Pitt, who revealed in September 2019 that he is sober.
A representative of the United States Attorney’s Office came to the conclusion not to prosecute Pitt based on discussions with the case agent.
“It was agreed by all parties that criminal charges in this case would not be pursued due to several factors,” the records noted.
When will this divorce saga ever end?!
