Backlash about age, who the hell cares!
Billie Eilish sure doesn’t, as she makes things official on Instagram with her much older boyfriend, Jesse Rutherford on Tuesday.
Eilish, 20, shared multiple photos from her Halloween weekend celebrations. One photo, included her new 31-year old boyfriend Jesse Rutherford, as they dressed like a baby and an elderly man.
She also included a photo of Rutherford as a clown.
“life is craaaaaaaaaaaaaaazy🤡 happy halloween🎃🥰,” Eilish captioned the post.
The new couple raised eyebrows on Sunday when they debuted their Halloween costumes at a star-studded party, with Eilish wearing a bonnet, a bib and doll makeup while Rutherford sported a bald cap and a gray mustache.
“I can’t believe Billie Eilish and Jesse Rutherford didn’t dress up for halloween,” one fan tweeted, poking fun at the pair’s 10-year age gap.
“Billie is grown enough to know how weird and creepy this is,” another wrote.
The couple first ignited dating rumors when they were spotted mid-October having dinner together in Los Angeles. The following evening, they were seen holding hands at Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights.
Throwback photos shared by fans, revealed the two have known each other since at least 2017. Eilish was just 15 back then, while Rutherford was 26.
Despite the age difference, the two made it official and even were seen making out in front of paparazzi outside a restaurant in Studio City, California.
For those who may find it weird that Eilish chose an older man, it’s not so strange. Eilish has a history of dating older men.
She was previously in relationships with rapper Brandon “Q” Adams, who is five years her senior, from 2018 to 2019 and actor Matthew Tyler Vorce, who is 10 years older, from 2021 to 2022.
