The great rapper Master P is grieving the loss of his 25-year old daughter Tytyana Miller after she passed away earlier this year.
After many months of waiting in patience, the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner, confirmed Tytyana lost her life after an accidental fentanyl intoxication at a private residence.
Master P, 52, mourned his daughter’s passing in a May 29 Instagram post, two days after she died.
“Our family is dealing with an overwhelming grief for the loss of my daughter Tytyana,” he wrote at the time. “Mental illness & substance abuse is a real issue that we can’t be afraid to talk about. With God, we will get through this. #MyAngel.”
Master P’s son and Tytyana’s brother, Romeo Miller, also posted a message on Instagram.
“Although this is sad times, I’m forever grateful for the memories I did have with my amazing sister,” the actor told his followers. “Love on your loved ones, life is short.”
Two months after her passing Master P went on the CBS This Morning show and expressed how hard the grieving process had been for him.
“I feel like, going to my daughter’s funeral, I feel like I went to my own funeral,” he said in July. “I don’t even want to go to no more funerals.”
“My daughter had a lot of life left in her. She was a happy woman that knew that tomorrow she could do something better. I love her. I think about her every day,” he added.
Prior to her death, Tytyana and her family members were vocal about her addiction struggles on “Growing Up Hip Hop.”
“When people hide that they have a problem, they’ll never overcome it,” Master P said in a 2016 episode. “She was like, ‘Dad, I want to be better. I want to get myself together.’”
