Drew Barrymore Doesn’t Buy Her Kids Christmas Gifts

Drew Barrymore is very strong in her stance when it comes to Christmas gifts and she opts to not bother giving out gifts to her daughters on Christmas morning.

Barrymore insists that she is not a strict or cold mom to Olive, 10, and Frankie, 8, at all when it comes to parenting the two girls.

“I always take them on a trip every Christmas,” the “Drew Barrymore Show” host explained. “I don’t get them presents, which I think at their ages they don’t love.

“But I say, ‘I think we’ll remember the place and the photos and the experience and that’s what I want to give you,’” the 47-year old mom continued.

Barrymore also takes note that she considers ‘a life memory’ to be a better gift than a doll or playhouse.

Barrymore added that “it all evens out and it’s fine” since she gave her girls presents during the COVID-19 pandemic and the experience sucked.

She concluded, “They don’t complain about not liking what they get when I take them on a trip. I’m glad I do what I do.”

Barrymore shares her daughters with ex-husband Will Kopelman, whom she was married to from 2012 to 2016.

Since their divorce, Barrymore has spoken candidly about her celibacy, as well as her hesitancy to go back on the market and try the dating scene once again.

“It simply hasn’t been my priority,” Barrymore wrote in an October blog post. “I have had the honor and a pleasure to actually work on myself and learn what parenting is.”

However, Barrymore spilled the beans earlier this month while talking to Whoopi Goldberg and said she is in fact dating again.

“It had been so many years, I started to get a little worried,” Barrymore explained. “Like, I’m too good at being alone.”

Prior to her relationship with Kopelman, Barrymore married bar owner Jeremy Thomas and comedian Tom Green in 1994 and 2001, respectively.
