Vanessa Hudgens had the wedding that she always dreamed of beside the man she wants to love for the rest of her life.
Hudgens married baseball player Cole Tucker in an ultra-private ceremony in Tulum, Mexico. Despite, the very overwhelming wedding planning, their special day went well with no mishaps.
The very in love couple said “I do” at the Azulik City of Arts surrounded by about 100 of their closest friends and family.
Hudgens, 34, said, “I know I want to be surrounded by nature, greenery, and foliage during my wedding.”
These wedding traits are what led her to choose the museum, which is located 45 minutes into the jungle.
âI knew that it was our place,â she said of her first time seeing the venue. âI felt like I was transported to some kind of utopia, unlike anything I had ever been to before. It was whimsical and magical, and I just fell in love.â
After months of planning, the two got their friend Jay Shetty, who played a role in them meeting back in 2020, to officiate their ceremony.
For Hudgens wedding look, she wore a white cowl-neck slip dress by Vera Wang, who Hudgens said always makes her feel âso confident and sexy and feminine.â
âI put it on, and I was like âItâs perfect. Itâs easy, itâs simple, and itâs chic,â she said. âIt was exactly what I wanted, but we obviously had to spruce it up a little and add some extra love to it so that it was special, just for me.â
Hudgens also wore her hair back in a slick bun and a a cape-like tulle veil with custom embroidery that read, âMrs. T December 2nd, 2023,â in a gothic font.
âI love the whole ethereal bohemian vibe, that will always be a part of me, but I didnât want it to be the main thing,â she explained.
All of the bridesmaids wore bronze dresses while Tucker opted for an off-white double-breasted jacket with tan trousers.
Hudgens and Tucker, 27, decided not to do a âfirst lookâ and the actress was nearly knocked off her feet when she got her first glance at the baseball player standing at the altar, which was decorated with an arch of orange marigolds and storybook fringe.
âSeeing each other at the altar for the first time is the most emotional moment of my life,â she reflected. âI literally keeled over when I saw Cole and had to take a big breath and had to force myself to keep walking because I could have dropped to the floor.â
The two wrote their own vows and read them lovingly to each other during their ceremony, a moment that Hudgens said she will always hold dear to her heart.
âIt is the most beautiful thing ever in a relationship to be that open and vulnerable and raw in front of all of the people you love proclaiming your love,â she said of the experience. âItâs just beautiful. I loved it.â
After the ceremony was over, Hudgens changed into a fun little, semi-sheer reception dress and enjoyed a night full of food, speeches, and dancing to live music.
âIt was genuinely the most magical weekend of my life,â Hudgens said, noting that she is âso gratefulâ everyone respected their request to keep their phones away so that they could have a âprivate wedding.â
âSeeing that and bringing everyone together and celebrating us, it was just so magical,â she continued. âLiterally talking about it right now, Iâm getting teary-eyed. I couldnât have dreamt it to be any better. I knew it was going to be magical, but it exceeded my expectations.â
Hudgens and Tucker started their relationship in 202 and made it Instagram-official in February of 2021.
After being together for two years, Tucker proposed with a massive oval-shaped diamond while they were on a trip in Paris.
Then in October, Hudgens and all her friends celebrated her upcoming wedding with a funeral-themed bachelorette party.
