Country singer Wynonna Judd’s daughter, Grace Kelley, has been arrested by authorities after removing her clothing in public.
Kelley, 27, was booked by the Alabama authorities after exposing her breasts and lower body in front of a busy highway.
Officers placed Kelley in handcuffs for indecent exposure and obstructing governmental operations. However, during the arrest Kelley refused to cooperate with the officers once they arrived at the scene.
After officers eventually were able to apprehend Kelley, she was booked into the Elmore County jail around 5 pm. and she has yet to post her $1,000 bail.
In Kelley’s mugshot, her eyes (especially the right eye) appeared swollen and bruised, though it is unclear how the injuries came about.
Kelley, who is the mother of one child, has faced multiple run-ins with the law in the past due to drug-related charges.
On May 1, 2023 she was held on no bond for violating an order of protection/restraining order and violation of parole. She originally was due to be released on October 19, 2023, but was released 15 days sooner from Putnam County Jail.
“I can confirm that Ms. Kelley’s parole was revoked to the expiration of her sentence following an August 11, 2023 revocation hearing at Putnam County Jail,” a spokesperson for the Tennessee Board of Parole told The U.S. Sun at the time. “Two concurring Board member votes were required to reach a final decision, which was reached on August 13, 2023.”
Grace was previously arrested on August 28, 2021, for violating her probation from a 2016 arrest for possession of meth. The country singer’s youngest daughter was sentenced to be behind bars until March 16, 2024.
“The Tennessee Board of Parole reached a final decision following Grace Kelley’s Dec. 12, 2022 parole hearing, recommending releasing her to parole supervision with the following post-release conditions: cognitive-behavior programming, substance abuse treatment programming, release to halfway house, and community service work until employed.”
She was released by the Tennessee Department of Corrections on December 29, 2022.
Grace was also allowed a temporary leave of absence during this jail stint due to her pregnancy. A Tennessee judge approved her furlough request on March 25, 2022.
The court papers read, “Having received a request for the sentencing court’s approval for the Tennessee Department of Corrections to consider a furlough of the defendant due to her pregnancy, the Court hereby approves this request.”
Grace’s daughter Kaliyah Chanel is now almost 2 years old.
Wynonna’s daughter was also previously placed under arrest on April 30, 2020, for again violating probation in her 2016 meth-related case.
At the time, she was sentenced to eight years behind bars.
Grace was granted parole at her April 19, 2021 hearing and released, under the stipulation that she report to the Murfreesboro Probation and Parole Office and follow “post-release conditions,” per the Tennessee Board of Parole.
The conditions, exclusively revealed to The U.S. Sun, included random drug screenings, substance abuse treatment, and aftercare referrals.
“Her home plan will need to be approved by the Tennessee Department of Corrections, then a parole certificate will be issued and then the Tennessee Department of Corrections will manage her release back to the community,” the representative explained.
However, the release did not last long as she was arrested on a parole violation again that August.
Kelley’s legal run-ins with the law first happened on June 14, 2016, when she was first arrested and pleaded guilty to meth manufacture, delivery, sale, and possession with intent.
Wynonna shares her daughter, as well as her son Elijah, 29, with her ex-husband Arch Kelley III.
