If you are a fan of hockey then you may have heard of Mikayla Demaiter, who is now being claimed as Canada’s National Treasure, after she turned into a model.
Demaiter, 23, started out as a goal tender for the Bluewater Hawks in Canada’s Women’s Hockey League.
However, her career as a hockey player was cut short at the age of 19. Due to a knee injury that required surgery she was no longer able to play and unfortunately had to hang up her skates.
Despite the discouragement to her hockey career, Demaiter decided to chase a new dream and pursued modeling. Becoming a full-time model allowed her to gain a substantial following online from fans.
Her Instagram following now boasts a whopping 3.2 million followers and it’s not just Instagram that’s allowed her to rise to fame. The social media platform TikTok has also gained her a stunning 2.4million followers.
Her fame has seen her dubbed “The world’s sexiest ice hockey player”.
Mikayla’s latest upload saw her post a series of photos in a grey knitted bikini.
Responding to her latest post, one fan wrote: “Wauw you are a beauty.”
A second wrote: “Wow, so beautiful Mika 😍🔥”
A third commented: “And what a Canadian treasure…she is beautiful 😍”
It seems hockey might not have been Demaiter’s end game after all with fame like this!
