Narvel Blackstock, the ex-husband to country superstar Reba McEntire, has moved on and remarried a former friend of his ex-wife.
Reba, 69, was married to Narvel, 67, from 1989 to 2015, but the two have moved on with their lives since their divorce. It appears Narvel has ignited a romance with Reba’s former friend, Laura Stroud.
Narvel and Laura’s wedding took place at The Hermitage in Nashville, Tennessee, over this past weekend.
Reba and Narvel’s son, Shelby, 34, was in attendance. Shelby is the only child Reba and Narvel had together, but she was a step-mother to Narvel’s children from another marriage, Brandon, who is Kelly Clarkson’s ex-husband, Chassidy, and Shawna.
Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton were also there, as Blake, 47, married Narvel and Laura.
Reba and Gwen, 54, were coaches on Season 24 of The Voice together.
Not much is known on how Narvel and Laura met or hoe their relationship is, but a close source claims that they have been together for a long time.
“Reba and Laura used to be really close friends,” the close source said.
Meanwhile, Reba has also moved on after her divorce with Narvel, meeting her current boyfriend Rex Linn and dating since 2020.
Rex, 67, is known for playing Sergeant Frank Tripp on the CBS drama, CSI: Miami. He is also currently starring in the comedy, Young Sheldon.
Reba’s ex’s marriage comes just days after the country singer revealed that she is open to being wed again.
“If that’s something he feels totally strong about, that’s fine with me,” Reba explained her views on remarriage. “He’s never been married before. So, if he wants to experience that, I’m okay with that.”
Aside from Narvel, Reba has been married one other time. She was married to steer wrestler, Charlie Battles, from 1976 to 1987.
“I’m truly committed to Rex even though I don’t have much faith in being bound by paper and a ring. I have known Rex since 1991, but we fell out of touch and met again in 2020,” Reba said. “I was guest-starring on an episode of Young Sheldon and he invited me out to dinner.”
However, the singer was too tired, but was in Los Angeles the following week and they met up.
“I don’t know what it was, but timing is everything,” Reba shared. “It was just like a magnet. I had to get in there and see him. We have been inseparable since June of 2020.”
