Madonna and David Banda are showing their stripes.
The Queen of Pop and her 16-year-old son stepped out together for the WBA World Lightweight Championship at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn Saturday, dressed in matching athletic-inspired apparel.
Banda, who’s never shied away from a gender-fluid fashion moment, rocked a tomato-red three-stripe dress from Adidas’ hotly anticipated collaboration with Gucci, which was previously spotted on Jodie Turner-Smith at a Met Gala afterparty earlier this month and won’t be available for mere mortals to shop until June 7.
Not to be outdone, the 63-year-old “Like a Prayer” hitmaker coordinated in a black striped tracksuit from Adidas’ other hyped-up (and sold-out) collection with Balenciaga, which debuted during the luxury label’s runway show at the New York Stock Exchange last Sunday.
The mother-son duo styled their looks similarly, opting for colorful sunglasses (yellow for David, pink for the Material Girl) and layered necklaces (Vivienne Westwood pendants for the teen, diamond-encrusted chains and crosses for his mother).
Madonna shared a slew of snaps from the evening on Instagram Sunday, including a shot of herself sporting a black lace balaclava and another of David kicking up his heels in a hallway.
“Family fight night,” she captioned her post.
“Iconic mom and iconic son,” one fan commented, while another wrote, “David is the coolest guy on Earth right now.”
In addition to Banda, Madonna has three other adopted children: Mercy James, 16, and twins Estere and Stelle Ciccone, 9. She shares eldest daughter Lourdes, 25, with ex-boyfriend Carlos Leon, and 21-year-old son Rocco with ex-husband Guy Ritchie.
