Kathie Lee Gifford met her grandson, Frank, nearly one week after the infant’s arrival.
The former “Today” show co-host, 68, gazed down at the newborn in a rocking chair while singing “Amazing Grace” in an Instagram video shared Monday.
“I finally got to meet sweet little Frankie this weekend and the joy that filled my heart was indescribable!” she captioned the footage with son Cody Gifford and his wife Erika Brown’s baby boy.
“I couldn’t help but sing to him, and I think he enjoyed it,” the former “Live” co-host concluded. “Glory be to God!”
Brown commented on the social media upload, telling her mother-in-law that Frank “misses her already.”
The dancer and Cody, 32, welcomed their little one on May 31, sharing the news via Instagram the following day.
“He’s so SO cute and we can’t get enough of all of the snuggles from this lil’ guy,” the new mom captioned hospital photos at the time. “We are sincerely obsessed.”
Kathie Lee celebrated Frank’s arrival with a post of her own.
“My heart is bursting,” she gushed. “Frank Michael Gifford is here, confirming that our God is good and merciful and faithful. And he loves us!”
The Daytime Emmy winner posted the same photo once more, writing, “Total joy.” She went on to apologize for using an identical image.
“Forgive me everyone for sending the same picture twice,” Kathie Lee captioned a close-up shot of Frank’s face. “Im just so excited about this beautiful new phase of life. How about this one?”
Kris Jenner and more of Kathie Lee’s celebrity friends sent their congratulations.
“What a blessing!!!!!!!” the “Kardashians” star, 66, commented. “He is beautiful.”
Frank is named after Kathie Lee’s late husband, Frank Gifford, but she had no idea her son would choose such a sweet moniker.
“I was surprised Cody named him after his dad because Cody knew what it was like to grow up in the shadow of a great man,” she told Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager earlier this month.
“But I guess he’s never gotten over, really, and he never will, the loss of his dad at an early age and he was his hero and he still is,” Kathie Lee continued.
As for her own name, the TV host wants her grandson to refer to her as “Bubbie” in the future.
She explained, “I didn’t give anybody a choice of what they’re going to call me. I took the matters into my own hands.”
