They say being frugal pays off, and it certainly has for one North Carolina woman who is making $10,000 a month by selling her random waste.
Rebekka Blue makes money selling items such as used bathwater, her contraceptive coil, armpit hair, used earbuds and even toenail clippings.
Yes you heard correctly, people really buy these things!
Blue charges between $98 and $356 for her personal rubbish, telling the Mirror she doesn’t throw away “dirty things” anymore.
“If I’m in the mood for a new wardrobe, I can sell my dirty clothes to get new items,” Blue explained.
“I offer a selling service that brings pleasure and makes the buyers feel good in a safe environment.”
According to Blue, the Top 3 requested items are used socks, underwear and tights.
“I usually sell them after wearing them for $50,” she said of those garments. “I charge more for the unique and weird requests, such as tongue scrapings, bathwater and cotton buds with ear wax on.”
The crafty entrepreneur added she sells the “experience” rather than just tangible goods.
Other waste she’s made money from selling include spit and chewed food.
“I basically make money from anything that is attached to my body,” she said.
Blue says, she’s using the money to set up her own animal shelter.
