It seems like there might have been a lot more drama behind Cheryl Burke’s divorce from Matthew Lawrence than we originally realized.
Cheryl posted on TikTok this week and shared some not so nice memories of a cheating ex.
Even though the ‘Dancing with the Stars’ pro didn’t specify exactly who the man in question was, signs are pointing to her ex-husband.
As Cheryl films herself staring into the camera, looking rather sad, the text overlay states, “When he said he would never talk to her again yet I found text messages, viagra, and a necklace hidden in a pair of his shoes …”, as Adele’s song ‘When we were young’ plays in the background.
Oopsie! If this is really about her actor ex-husband Matthew, these are some pretty big claims.
However, it could be totally possible that she is talking about another ex and not Matthew, who she split from in January after almost three years of marriage.
Commenters blew up the comment section with their speculations of whether it could be Matthew or not.
“Oh I love that we know about his ‘little’ problem now,” one person wrote. “He took the trash out himself.”
Another commented: “MATTHEW????!!! I expected better but it seems a man has let me down yet again.”
The timing of Cheryl posting this video was rather suspicious.
Earlier this month, paparazzi photos surfaced of Matthew hanging out with TLC singer Chili, and they seemed to have gone on vacation together in Hawaii.
However, there have been confirmation by reps that the two are not romantically involved and that Matthew and his friends went to see a TLC show in Waikiki, but Cheryl’s video has others thinking there might be more to the story.
Cheryl officially submitted the paperwork in February, though she listed their date of separation as January 7. Their court documents stated that the reason for the split was “irreconcilable differences,” and they did have a prenup.
After seeing how in love they once were, it was heartbreaking for fans to find out that their relationship had come to an end.
Divorce is never easy, either, but hopefully, both Cheryl and Matthew are able to heal and move on to something bigger and better soon.
