Uncle Joe is spreading his love and well wishes to celebrate his nephew’s marriage!
Meghan King revealed she will definitely be keeping one of her wedding gifts that came from Cuffe Owens’ uncle Joe Biden.
“He gave me a crystal bowl, like, with the presidential seal,” King gushed excitedly. “I still have the unique present and I will never be parting from it.”
“Oh, Kamala Harris wrote me a note too,” King also noted.
King went on to describe how strange it was to have secret service and snipers at her low-key nuptials.
“The craziest moment for me, was when my daughter said, ‘Mommy, what are those guys doing?’ And there were two snipers with these, like, massive guns, like, walking because the president was getting ready to leave,” she explained.
“So they’re packing up and going, so they have these massive guns. And I said, ‘Oh honey, those people were there to protect the president because the president was here.’ And she said, ‘President Biden.’ And I said, ‘Yeah.’ She goes, ‘No, he wasn’t!’”
Although her daughter Aspen, 5, didn’t remember speaking to the groom’s uncle that night, King says the Bidens felt like family.
“The wedding day was great. It was so much fun, intimate and his family’s wonderful. I mean, I don’t have a bad thing to say about the Bidens at all. They were so warm and normal and welcoming.”
King and Owens said their nuptials in October 2021 during a tiny wedding at the attorney’s childhood home in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania. The wedding took place after just one month of dating.
However, the mother of three quickly realized she made a “mistake” and the pair had their nuptials annulled two months later.
Back in July, King revealed she was rushed into the marriage even though she didn’t ever want to get married again.
“Like I said earlier, I’m a lover and I want everybody to be happy. I learned some big lessons from that mistake. I’m sure he did as well,” she said on Caroline Stanbury’s podcast “Divorced Not Dead,” adding it was “short and sweet and it’s done and it’s annulled.”
King has also had some choice words about her marriage to former MLB player Jim Edmonds since finalizing their divorce in early 2021.
King said, “Our marriage was embarrassing. After rewatching the show, I realized how little he actually respected me.”
The ex-couple, who were married for seven years, share daughter Aspen and twin sons Hart and Hayes, 4.
However, co-parenting hasn’t been easy for the former couple as King filed two protective orders against Edmonds back in June for “frequent and consistent verbal abuse” toward her via text and in the co-parenting app Family Wizard.
The cases have since been dismissed and King hopes to set the “best example” for their children by trying to work things out amicably.
Looks like she married a dirt bag.
Sounds like she is a confused attention seeker.
I hope the bowl is filled with poison and they all die.
