They’ve been besties for a very long time!
Nicole Ritchie celebrated her friendship with Paris Hilton by posting a throwback Halloween photo from their elementary school days, revealing the childhood besties dressed in matching fairy costumes.
“Happy Halloween” she captioned the post simply.
Hilton quickly commented on Richie’s Instagram, “🥰 🧚🏻♀️🧚🏻♀️ Sana saa! Love you Bill😍,” reprising the rallying cry coined by the two friends that could often be heard on episodes of their former reality show, “The Simple Life.”
Paris, 41, also re-shared the photo to her own Instagram Stories, captioning the pic with fairy emojis.
The two attended the elite Buckley School in Los Angeles together, starting as kindergartners in 1986 before each eventually transferred elsewhere by middle school.
Richie, also 41, received comments on her post, pointing out the pixie-costume-clad youngsters’ portrait as having been sourced from one of their Buckley-era yearbooks.
While the duo remained close enough to launch their reality series, their friendship famously imploded in 2005 for reasons rumored, though never confirmed, having to do with Hilton’s sex tape.
Yet the attention garnered by the informal, black-and-white shot would suggest that the symbolism of Nicole and Paris’ friendship, is deeper than many may think. Their friendship is forever crystalized within their hearts and they will always have a spot for each other.
“Iconic,” declared Nicole’s sister Sofia Richie in the comments, a sentiment echoed by photographer Vijat Mohindra, actor Harry Hill and musician Clinton Cave among slews of other fans and admirers.
As one enthusiastically emphasized: “their friendship is so f–king iconic.”
