Every parent’s nightmare happened to Rod Stewart after his 11-year old son collapsed during his soccer match.
Aiden was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital to address his sudden medical scare.
“We thought my boy had a heart attack,” Stewart said emotionally. “He was going blue and was unconscious until he calmed down. It was scary, but it turned out to be a panic attack.”
“The lad wanted to do well, pulled on the Hoops in Scotland for his dad,” Stewart said.
Though the soccer game’s location was not revealed, it seems another medical emergency took place during the same game.
“Another boy fell backwards and banged his head. He’s still not back,” Stewart shared. “In all of my days watching football, that’s the only time two ambulances had been called.”
Aiden is the youngest of Stewarts eight children. Stewart welcomed Aiden and his 17-year old son Alastair with his current wife, Penny Lancaster-Stewart.
Stewart also has daughter Sarah, 59, with ex-girlfriend Susannah Boffey; daughter Kimberly, 43, and son Sean, 42, with ex-wife Alana; Ruby, 35, with ex Kelly Emberg; Renee, 30, and Liam, 28, with his second wife Rachel Hunter.
Back in October, Stewart’s son Sean was hospitalized after his vehicle was rear-ended by a pickup truck in Los Angeles.
At the time, Sean’s manager, Wendy Feldman said, “My client will make a full recovery after an MRI showed that he had a dislocated shoulder and some other minor injuries.”
After returning home from the hospital, Sean wrote on his Instagram Story on Oct. 25 that he was “still in a lot of pain” but recuperating with his dog Prince by his side.
