Arnold Schwarzenegger is facing a lawsuit after a woman claims she was left permanently disabled from a January 2022 car crash.
According to court documents, the plaintiff Cheryl Augustine, is alleging that she was left permanently disabled after the multi-car accident.
“At said time and place, defendants, and each of them, so negligently, wantonly, unlawfully, wrongfully and recklessly drove, operated, serviced, maintained, entrusted, repaired and managed said vehicle to cause said vehicle to collide with plaintiff’s vehicle and to proximately cause the hereinafter described injuries and damages to the plaintiff,” the documents read.
Augustine said, “I followed all protocols with physicians, surgeons, and even physical therapists to treat and care for my injuries in a timely fashion.”
Augustine added, “The care that I acquired, medical and incidental expenses, are currently unknown to me. I am working with my lawyer to add all the expenses up.”
Augustine also said that she is unable to work since the accident and has suffered an exorbitant amount of out-of-pocket property damage, loss of her automobile, and other miscellaneous expenses.
Augustine is expecting Schwarzenegger, 76, to cover the general damages, all medical and incidental expenses, all damages to her car, and all loss of her earnings.
In January 2022, Schwarzenegger was involved in a multi-car crash in the Los Angeles neighborhood of Brentwood, California. He was driving a GMC Yukon about a mile away from his home when he collided with a red Prius. He rolled over the smaller car before making an impact with a Porsche Cayenne.
At the time, the driver of the Prius was reportedly taken to a local hospital after sustaining a head injury.
Meanwhile, Schwarzenegger seemed to be uninjured from the accident, as he was photographed talking with authorities at the scene.
A close source to Schwarzenegger said right after the accident took place, “He is extremely concerned for the injured woman and plans on checking up on her personally.”
No arrests were made and police reported that they did not believe the incident involved any alcohol or drugs.
Despite these allegations, Schwarzenegger ended up in another car accident a year later.
In February 2023, he allegedly hit a cyclist who swerved onto his lane in West Los Angeles.
Police reported that Schwarzenegger was not guilty of causing the collision, as he was not going fast and did not have a chance to hit the brakes fast enough to avoid the cyclist.
