The neighbor of Actor Charlie Sheen has been arrested by authorities, after she tried to choke him during a dispute between the two, that erupted at his Los Angeles home.
The Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department confirmed, “Mr. Sheen was attacked by a woman living next door after she forced her way into his home.”
Law enforcement reported that Sheen, 58, opened the door to the 47-year old woman, who is his neighbor, after hearing a knock. As soon as he opened the door, the woman lunged forward, ripped his shirt, and attempted to choke him.
Authorities will not release the name of the woman at this time, but authorities stated that she returned to her home after the altercation, where she was later arrested and booked for assault with a deadly weapon and burglary.
Authorities said they will not release all the details or what caused the altercation until further investigation is completed.
Authorities did however say, “Before officers from LASD and paramedics arrived at the scene, Sheen did place a call with 911 to report the incident. He was not taken to the hospital and obtained very minor injuries which were treated at his home by paramedics.”
It seems this isn’t the first time Sheen has had a run-in with his neighbor. He reportedly called the cops on her when she squirted some sticky liquid on his car recently and dumped trash in front of his door the day before the recent attack.
The ordeal comes just days after Sheen revealed that he’s nearly six years sober after quitting alcohol to focus on raising his kids.
“Next month I’ll be six years sober,” Sheen said earlier this month. “I have a very consistent lifestyle now. It’s all about single dad stuff, and raising my 14-year-old twin boys Max and Bob.”
Sheen’s Long-battle with addiction for years was well documented in the public eye. He even admitted that he used to love drinking first thing in the morning and would often spike his coffee with scotch.
However, the actor has changed his lifestyle around and now wakes around 4:30 or 5 a.m. to get an early start on the day, works out, checks emails, and helps get his kids ready for the day.
“Then I get the kids up and help them with their morning routine, if you can call it a routine,” Sheen joked.
Sheen, who shares the twins with ex-wife Brooke Mueller, is also dad to daughters Sami, 19, and Lola, 18, with ex-wife Denise Richards as well as daughter Cassandra, 38, with high school girlfriend Paula Profit.
