The acting couple that turned heads on the red carpet, is no longer an item, after the two announced they were splitting up and filing for a divorce.
The famous couple shared the news about their 14 year marriage coming to an end in a joint posted Instagram Story.
In the photo, the two wore all-white tennis gear as they cuddled together.
“After a long tennis match lasting over twenty years, we are finally putting our racquets down,” they wrote. “In 2023, we jointly filed to end our marriage. We have always prioritized our privacy, and have been working through this change. We forever share in our devotion and love for our children.”
“We sincerely appreciate you respecting our families’ wish for privacy,” the text concluded.
Cohen and Fisher tied the knot in March 2010 and went on to have three children: daughters Olive, 17, and Elula, 13, and son Montgomery, 9.
In 2002, they met for the first time at a party in Sydney, Australia.
Eight years later, in 2010, the Borat star opened up about their relationship to The New York Times.
“She was hilarious!” Sacha said at the time. “We were at a very pretentious party, and me and her bonded over taking the mick out of the other people in the party.”
“I knew instantly. I don’t know if she did. It’s taken her about 20 years to know,” he closed.
In November 2022, Isla discussed her marriage to The Australian Women’s Weekly.
“I love marriage. I think it’s a wonderful institution and it’s the most important decision you make,” Fisher shared. “Life is filled with highs and lows, and you have a best friend to share it with you. It’s amazing. It’s like winning the lottery, having a good partner.”
However, the couples’ split seems to have come after fellow actress Rebel Wilson released her tell-all memoir, Rebel Rising. In the book she exposed an alleged incident where Sacha, 52, asked her to stick her finger up his a**.
The passage claimed Sacha pestered her to strip off and Rebel claimed Sacha told her to, “Stick a finger up his a**”, to make a funny scene.
“It felt like every time I’d speak to SBC, he’d mention that he wanted me to go naked in a future scene,” she wrote in her book. “I was like, ‘Ha, I don’t do nudity, Sacha,'”
Despite Wilson’s claims in her book, Sacha denied her allegations and said he never forced her to strip down.
A spokesperson for Sacha also made a public statement: “While we appreciate the importance of speaking out, these demonstrably false claims are directly contradicted by extensive detailed evidence, including contemporaneous documents, film footage and eyewitness accounts from those present before, during and after the production of The Brothers Grimsby.”
Nine of the cast members have strongly backed-up Sacha’s claims that the scene was written into the script and had nothing to do with him.
